How Can I Afford Chiropractic Care?

How Can I Afford Chiropractic Care?

We know times are tough right now for a lot of people. If you’re experiencing pain, you might be wondering how you can afford chiropractic treatment on top of everything else? That’s where we come in! We’re here to tell you 3 ways that you can afford chiropractic care right now and why you shouldn’t wait!

Most Offices Accept Major Insurances

Great news! Many chiropractors accept most major insurances! Many also accept personal injury or worker’s compensation claims!

If your chiropractic office accepts your insurance, they will bill your health insurance and process the claims for you. As part of processing, they will reduce the charges down to the agreed upon contracted amount with the insurance company. If you have a deductible, they will collect the amount and apply it towards the deductible. The amount collected during each visit will applied against your deductible until you have met the full amount.

At Kaizo Health and some other offices, they are able to estimate the amounts for you at each visit. This allows you to pay in smaller increments rather than receiving a large bill later. The insurance will typically start paying a portion of the contracted rate once your deducible is met. This leaves you only responsible for either a flat fee (copay) or a percentage of the contracted rate (co-insurance). The costs are based off of the services that are performed and bill. This means the amounts you may owe can change with each visit.

Affordable Medical Discount Plans

If you don’t have insurance, have limited coverage or are out-of-network, you might still be wondering how you can afford chiropractic care. If you do not have insurance, some offices will provide a medical discount program that allows eligible patients to sign themselves and their families up for a yearly rate and then they receive discounts on services.

For example, our medical discount program, Chirohealth USA allows you to enroll yourself and anyone that lives in your household for $49 for one year. The heavily discounted, first appointment includes a full exam, medical history overview, treatment, adjustments and rehab. All follow ups are capped at a discounted price. This is a great way to ensure that you and your family are getting the care you need at an affordable rate.

No-Minimum, Interest-Free Payment Plans

Another great service provided by many chiropractic offices is payment plans for treatment! We understand pain doesn’t always come at the most convenient time. If you’ve been injured in a car accident or at the work place, it is imperative you don’t wait for treatment. If you have remaining charges on your account after insurance, your personal injury claim or worker’s compensation case, ask your chiropractic office about payment plans. We are proud to offer our patients no-minimum, interest-free payment plans!

Save Money by Choosing Chiropractic Care vs. Surgery

If you’re thinking about waiting to seek treatment for pain or an injury, you could actually be costing yourself more money in the long run! While waiting to seek treatment, your injury can continue to deteriorate. This can even start to affect surrounding areas of muscle and tissue. This means when you do seek treatment, you could need more than one treatment. This can also increase the amount of treatment time needed. In addition, this could lead to potential surgery which can be expensive, time-consuming and requires a much longer recovery period (I.e., more time out of work, physical therapy visits, rehabilitative time, etc.)

When you see a chiropractor immediately upon experiencing pain or injury, you choose the shortest duration of financial compensation. Did you know the average cost of chiropractic sessions are almost 40% less than with other types of providers? Not only are you choosing a shorter term of treatment but their average costs are much lower than larger hospital systems, surgeons, and practices.

Again, we know times are tough right now! But do yourself and your wallet a favor by choosing the right treatment the first time. This will not only save you from suffering in pain longer than necessary but can save you money as well! Still Unsure If You Can Afford Chiropractic Care?

If you’re still unsure if you can afford chiropractic care right now, give your local office a call. See which major insurances they work with. Also, ask if they offer any type of medical discount self-pay program. Lastly, don’t forget to be sure to ask about any payment plan options they are currently offering patients! A good chiropractor wants you to feel better and will work with you to ensure that you can get the care you need and deserve!
