Conditions
Back Pain/Injuries
That twinge in your back just won’t go away. It’s not that bad right now but it’s definitely there and it’s not getting any better. Several thoughts are running through your head: “Will it just go away?” “Can I afford treatment?”
Neck Pain/Injuries
A lot of patients we see and people we know do not realize there is a solution to neck pain. This solution is recommended by most major health care organizations; however, no physicians talk about it.
Sciatica
The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the human body and branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. The sciatic nerve’s purpose is to provide a vital role in connecting the spinal cord with the skin and muscles of the thigh, leg, and foot.
Hip Pain/Injuries
Many people struggle with tight hips and groins. Apart from the fact that people don’t stretch enough, we as a population spend most of our day sitting down either at work, in the car, in front of a tv, etc. In this position, our groin/inner thigh muscles are in a contracted state..
Knee Pain/Injuries
Unfortunately, 100 million Americans have chronic pain, with knee pain being second on the list of top causes. One third of all Americans say they’ve experienced knee pain at some point in their life.
Leg Pain/Injuries
At Kaizo Health, we continuously work with a variety of different types of people and injuries. As you may know, we are the leading experts in auto accident injuries. But did you know that we are also experts in sports-related injuries, such as hamstring injuries?
Foot Pain/Injuries
The cause of this condition is not fully understood, but it is more commonly found in females and overweight people. When both feet are involved, this is sometimes associated with a certain type of arthritis, which can be evaluated with a simple exam and tests by your doctor.
Ankle Pain/Injuries
A tree is only as strong as its roots, how strong are YOUR roots Building a strong and stable body starts with our ankles. Like a tree with shallow roots, weak ankles don’t give the rest of our body a great chance for success.
Shoulder Pain/Injuries
Whether the shoulder spontaneously relocates or it needs to be relocated by a physician, there needs to be a rehabilitation program strictly adhered to by the patient.
Whiplash
When you hear the term “whiplash” what do you think? Do you think seat belt injury or car accident injury? Or do you just consider whiplash an unfortunate side effect of most auto accidents.
Headaches
According to the Migraine Research Foundation, there are approximately 45 million Americans complaining of headaches each year. That works out to about one in every six people or 16.54% of the population.
Migraines
Not many things garner a bigger reputation with more uncertainty than migraines. Patients worldwide get misleading information that their bad headache is a migraine with no obvious treatment or help other than bearing with it until it goes away later.
TMJ
TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint. A joint is a connection between bones, so this joint connects the mandible (lower jaw) to the temporal bone (side of the skull). To feel this joint in motion, put your fingers in front of your ear and move your jaw around.
Services
Chiropractic Adjustments/Manipulation
From a simple strain or sprain to post-surgery rehabilitation, Kaizo Health takes all conditions seriously. We not only want to get you out of pain, but we also want you to stay out of pain. Our doctors perform a thorough examination at the beginning of your care to assess and treat your body as a whole.
Flexion-Distraction
Brugger is that funny exercise we always seem to make you do at the beginning of your visit. We show you a cool way to wrap your hands into a band (which everyone thinks is some sort of puzzle they deserve a prize for), then make you stretch it out and hold it for what seems like forever.
Decompression/Traction
Normatec
The NormaTec is a compression device that speeds up recovery and improves outcomes. We use the NormaTec on legs, arms, or hips to rejuvenate muscle tissue and reduce tightness and soreness.
Hypervolt/Massage Gun
The Hypervolt is a cordless state-of-the-art vibration massage device that helps relax sore and stiff muscles to improve mobility.
Prenatal/Postnatal Chiropractic Care
Pain can play a significant role during pregnancy but this doesn’t always have to be the case. Studies have found that 75% of prenatal chiropractic patients experienced significant pain relief after treatment!
Rehab Exercises
If you thought Kaizo Health was only about chiropractic care, think again. If you know anything about us, you know how much we believe in the importance of combining chiropractic treatments and rehabilitative exercises for the most optimal and efficient care.
Cupping Therapy
This type of therapy uses suction cups to create negative pressure within the tissue to increase circulation, decrease local sensitivity and encourage healing in the area of concern or pain.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a natural form of treatment that uses a fine filament needle that is inserted into a trigger point or sensitive area, typically associated with areas of pain. When the needle is inserted into the trigger point, it produces a twitch-like effect in the muscle fibers, drawing blood into the area to release tension.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), often called Scraping, is a very popular and effective treatment technique for all types of muscle, tendon, and ligament injuries.
Electronic Stimulation | TENS (E-Stim)
Electrical Stimulation (you may hear your doctor refer to it as E-Stim or just Stim) is used to reduce pain, muscle spasm, and promote healing. Electrodes are placed on the body in various places to target specific muscle and nerve fibers.
Cryotherapy
Here at Kaizo Health, we use several types of cryotherapy including cold packs and Biofreeze, which a topical pain reliever. Both of these modalities help to decrease pain, inflammation, and enhance the effects of the treatment. They are also key components of our home exercise programs.
Kinesiology Taping
Kinesio-Taping Method involves utilizing a special elastic-like tape over and around muscles and/or joints in order to assist and give support to affected tissues as well as to prevent over-contraction.
Active Release Therapy | ART
Active release technique treats pain and other symptoms involving the muscles, ligaments and tendons, fascia and nerves. This technique uses manual hand work and movement of the patient to apply tension on scar tissue and break up adhesions.
