Yes if we are in network with someone’s health insurance it is possible that we will be able to bill them and the patient will be responsible for their copay however, if they are seeking a lawsuit their health insurance will be expected to be paid back at settlement

Car insurance will cover medical injury costs under a benefit called PIP or personal injury protection. This is a benefit on someone’s car insurance that will cover medical costs regardless of who is at fault. We strongly suggest filing a PIP claim with the patient’s own car insurance to get as much of the medical treatment paid for upfront

Recovery time ranges and is dependent on many different factors such as the degree of injury, whether the patient comes to car consistently and much more. The 1^st thing a new auto injury patient can expect is to be schedule in 1-2 business days from time of calling/booking online
I will then verify all of the provided information to verify coverage and any out of pocket costs
If they have an attorney I will make contact to introduce myself and set them up on our online medical records portal
From there they will be sent a confirmation e-mail with time of appointment and information to fill out their paperwork to ensure a smooth process when they arrive for their appointment. This e-mail will also provide instructions on how to download the kaizo Health app. The app is crucial in ensuring they are getting the most of their treatment. The app will be their hub for earning rewards, doing home exercises and so much more
When they come for their appointment they will get a full comprehensive exam of all their injuries and will receive a recommended treatment plan from the doctor
If they do not have an attorney, at their first visit we will provide some recommendations from our trusted network of attorneys
Throughout their care they can expect monthly re exams to assess their progress
If they have an attorney, I/the doctor will keep their attorney up to date on their progress as well
Once discharged they will receive instructions on how to continue maintenance care at home

We do not specifically recommend car insurances, we would just recommend to get more PIP if possible, the minimum for Maryland is $2500, but a full treatment plan can range anywhere from $4,000-$8,000, so I would suggest looking into getting more than the state minimum PIP coverage
