Michaela Hogg, D.C.
Doctor of Chiropractic
Clinic Director, Fairfax
[email protected]
Dr. Michaela Hogg is a board certified, licensed chiropractor with physical therapy privileges in the state of Virginia. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Scranton where she studied exercise science with a concentration in nutrition. She began working in the physical therapy field before returning to school to pursue her doctorate degree at New York Chiropractic College, where she earned the Student of the Year award, the Clarence N. Flick Memorial Research Award and was a member of the Phi Chi Omega Honor Society. She was selected to complete competitive clinical rotations at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Bath, NY and at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where she served Veterans and active-duty military personnel. During these rotations she joined pain management physicians, orthopedists, physical therapists and occupational therapists to support service members in regaining and optimizing their quality of life.
Dr. Michaela is passionate about helping her patients through several techniques including diversified, Thompson drop table, flexion-distraction, myofascial release, and rehabilitative exercise. She utilizes an evidence-based, human-centered approach to caring for her patients to reduce pain and reach their personal functional goals. In addition to military and Veteran populations, she has experience working with adolescent and professional athletes, pregnancy and post-partum care, and infant to geriatric populations.
In her free time, you can find her serving her community through volunteer work with her church, watching and playing sports (rooting for the New York Yankees, of course!), and spending time outside with family and friends.
